Account deletion

Delete your Prompt Journal account

Start from inside the app when you can. If you cannot access the app, contact us and we will help verify the request.

Primary path

Use the in-app deletion flow

Open Prompt Journal, open the app menu, expand Legal, then choose Request account deletion.

  1. 1
    Back up first

Export or back up any Prompt Journal content you want to keep.

  2. 2
    Confirm the request

The app will ask you to confirm deletion of your account and server-synchronized library data.

  3. 3
    Wait for completion

Deletion may take up to 30 days after your request is confirmed. While pending, sessions may be revoked and normal sync access may be disabled.

What deletion covers

Account and server data

Account deletion is intended to delete or de-identify your Prompt Journal account and associated server-synchronized personal data from active systems.

Some records may be retained when required or permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, backup, or compliance reasons.

Local backups, exports, and files you created outside the Prompt Journal servers remain under your control. Delete those copies separately if you no longer want to keep them.

If a subscription is managed by Apple, Google, or another store, account deletion does not cancel that billing. Cancel through the store that manages the subscription.
